Jane Thompson Johansen, Ph.D., is a Professor of Business Education at the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, Indiana, where she also serves as the Director of the Endeavor! Undergraduate Research Awards. She also serves on the Editorial Board for the journal of Global Business and Finance Review.

She completed her doctoral study at the University of Wisconsin-Madison after graduating from the University of Evansville. Dr. Johansen served as the Program Chair for the Association for Business Communication International Convention 2010 in Chicago, the Chair of the Undergraduate Research Committee, and the Program Chair for the Toronto ABC International Convention.

She has published in the IEEE Transactions for Professional Communication; Pratibimba, The Journal of the Institute Management and Information Science; The Journal of Information Technology; and the Journal of Business Communication among others. Her newest article is forthcoming in the journal for Global Advances in Business Communication. Her research interests include intercultural business communication, business communication and technology, gender communication, and employment correspondence.
