Dr. Hinh Khieu, assistant professor of finance, joined USI in the Fall of
2009 after working as an instructor at Eastern Kentucky University and the
University of Kentucky. Before pursuing his academic career, he also worked as a
corporate financial analyst and accountant in Canada and the United States.
His primary research interests are in the areas of financial institutions
and corporate finance. His research has been published or is forthcoming in the
Journal of Banking and Finance, the Financial Review, and
Global Business and Finance Review.
Professor Khieu holds a Ph.D. degree in Finance, an M.S. degree in
Economics, and an M.B.A. degree with a Finance concentration from the University
of Kentucky. He also holds a B.Comm. degree in Accountancy from Concordia
University, Montreal, Canada and a B.Ed. degree in T.E.F.L. from the University
of Education, Saigon, Vietnam.
