The Evansville Factbook, produced by the USI College of Business, presents
demographic, economic, and social information on the City of Evansville, the
Evansville MSA (Gibson, Posey, Vanderburgh, and Warrick Counties of Indiana and
Henderson and Webster Counties of Kentucky) and Region 11 (comprised of Davies, Dubois,
Gibson, Knox, Martin, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh, and Warrick
Counties) of Indiana.
The first edition of the Factbook was prepared and published in 1992. Since
then a number of changes have occurred in the content and format of the Factbook.
In the 1994-1995 edition, the data was organized in spreadsheet format and made
available to users on disks. In 2000-2001, the entire Factbook was made
available online and users have the option to download data as spreadsheet
files. The 2002-2003 edition includes updated information on socio-economic and
demographic variables obtained from the 2000 Census.
The 1992 edition of the Factbook was developed and prepared by Dr. Munir
Quddus and was made possible by a grant from the Lilly Foundation of
Indianapolis. Subsequent editions of the Factbook have been financially
supported by the USI College of Business.
Suggestions from users are welcome.
